Featured Projects
Phase 2 Assessment
Subsurface soil sampling at levels of 20’, 10’ and 5’ to determine levels of soil contamination at former gas station site. CTI was instrumental in obtaining a ‘no further action’ determination from the Long Beach Environmental Department so that tenant improvements could continue at the property and the loan process could be closed out.

Hazardous Materials Tank Certification
CTI prepared a hazardous waste tank assessment report for a client per a recent request from the local CUPA to be in compliance with PBR containment certification requirement (CCR Title 22, Section 66265.192 and 66270.11(d)). There was a solvent distillation unit on site that had three (3) tanks that contained hazardous material and one (1) containment. CTI was required to complete field inspections, engineering calculations and submit a report. The project included: Measuring the tanks and containments, reviewing basic drawings including measurements for processes, performing containment volume calculations to compare to tankage calculations to confirm compliance with secondary containment requirements for processes, preparing static calculations and seismic evaluation for tank and piping anchoring and support system, preparing "Containment Certification" report to be signed by a P.E, and provided a report and drawings for submittal to the agency.

Removal of Above Ground Storage Tanks
Removal of two metal single wall diesel Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST’s). CTI cleaned and removed the tanks from the site. Clearance documentation and a destruction certification were provided. CTI prepared all the required agency documentation, met with agency inspectors and submitted a request for removal of the tanks.
